Origins Haul - Part 1

Sunday, April 26, 2015

Very excited for this post as it's all about skincare!

I recently went a little skincare happy in the isles of Origins, and ended up with a pretty big haul. I thought I'd spare you an uncomfortably long post, and split it into two smaller (slightly less uncomfortably long) posts!

I love Origins' for their earth loving ethos and products and their general approach to skincare. If you're not familiar with Origins, or what they're about you can read up on it here. My skin is more on the dry side, and therefore I am always skeptical of what I put on my face. It can suffer from irritation and it doesn't like too much fuss - if that makes sense!

So, when I tried Origins, the mild and natural formulas of their products really worked for me. The wide range of products are great as I can always find something that will help my skin (face and other areas) feel better.

So onto the products...

No Puffery
The cooling eye mask. This little powerful gel relieves tired puffy eyes, with its refreshing formula. It is meant to reduce any sore puffy skin around the eye area, and calm redness. This is a product which called out to me because I often spend a lot of time on the computer, and have very sore, tired eyes by the end of it! I also find that after a late night out or if I haven't slept very well, my eyes can feel quite puffy the next day.. So what better than a "no puffery" product to sort my eyes out!

Never A Dull Moment
This cleanser has crushed Papaya extract which smells so good! It's another brightening product which claims to slog away the dead skin, makeup and daily build up. Living/travelling in London means my skin can get pretty clogged up. Hopefully this can be the freshness my skin craves after a long day out in the city.

Modern Friction
A creamy texture with Rice Starch to help exfoliate the skin. This product removes dead skin cells and encourages shiny new skin to beam through. It also includes Vitamin C and Lemon oil - which again makes it smell great. I'm looking forward to using this for when my skin needs that extra little bit of help to look and feel better.

Drink Up
A deeply hydrating and skin-quenching face mask for dehydrated skin. As mentioned earlier, my skin is on the dry side, so it will be interesting to see how this mask helps with my skin when it's feeling tight and uncomfortable.

Leg Lifts
I love the idea of this product. We often forget about skincare for the legs, but they're working the most throughout the day! This little leg spa in a bottle sounds like a lovely way to pick up tired legs. I think it will be great to use in the summer months as the Menthol, Peppermint and Cedarwood give a revitalising, cool tingly sensation to the legs.

Part 2 of this Origins haul will be up very soon, so be sure to come back and check out the rest of the products I picked up - there are some very interesting ones. I will be testing out the products mentioned over the next few months and will report back on my findings, so stay tuned!

Have you used any of these products? What did you think of them, I'd love to know!
