Farewell 2015

Thursday, December 31, 2015

So here we are, the very last day of what seemed like a very quick year. The years seem to be going by faster and faster!

I have been very inactive on my blog and social media towards the end of this year unfortunately, and I only have myself to blame. But as I type this last post of the year, I begin to realise why I started this blog in the first place.

So very often we let ourselves become part of a routine, sometimes this can be a good thing. But it could also mean that we forget our potential and and what we are really capable of achieving. I started this blog at the beginning of this year after 6 months of going back and forth on the idea. It was a way for me to journal what I do and to stay creative; it has helped me to learn a lot about myself.

As time went on, I lost sight of these reasons and fell into the routine of letting my full time job take over all my time. For 2016 I hope to change that. I will be dedicating much more time to my blog and personal plans. I don't usually write new year resolutions, as I believe all we need to start over is a new day. However as a goal for next year, this will be my biggest aim.

I have really enjoyed this year which was full of highs and some lows. I have found some genuinely lovely people through blogging and hope I continue to meet more. As I discover more blogs and artists I continue to be inspired and stay focused for the future. I visited NYC again, this time with my cousin who is also my best friend and we absolutely loved it! I continued to fall in love with London as I spent all my weekends in summer getting lost in it's beauty. Most importantly, I spent this year with the people that matter to me most, my friends and family.

So now that the reflecting is done, what does Beautifully Lost London have planned for 2016? Well, I will continue to ramble on about beauty and food of course. But I also hope to share more of my art and illustrations with you. It is something I have always done in my spare time and this year I fell back in love with it. I have some very exciting plans this year with my previously mentioned cousin/best friend. I also plan on visiting more countries this year, and continue to spend my days with the ones I love most.

I hope you have all had a productive year and achieved what you had set out to accomplish. I also hope next year will be an even more successful one.

Here's to a wonderful and successful 2016!
