Beautifully Lost Weekend - Primrose Hill

Tuesday, April 05, 2016

Last weekend after what felt like forever, I was finally back in the heart of London enjoying this great city.

So much has happened in the last month I feel like I need to write a separate post on all the changes that have been going on. More recently, I have just returned from a lovely trip to the USA which included time away in Hawaii (stay tuned for the post)!

So, on my first proper weekend back in London I knew I had to get back out there and take in some of my lovely city! It wasn't a weekend full of plans or specific places to visit. I just wanted to wander around and appreciate my surroundings - even if they were a world away from tropical Hawaii.

On Saturday I decided to spend the afternoon in Primrose Hill. It was a surprisingly nice day with clear skies and some sun! Although there was a slight wind, it felt so refreshing to walk around and clear my thoughts while taking in the surroundings. After walking to the top of the hill, I just soaked in the view of London, the skyline bathed in a cool blue and the contrasting lush green grass of the park. It was a lovely view. It's a great spot for watching the sunset (or sunrise for you early birds), but I'll be saving that for the summer as there was torrential downpour later on that day!

Sometimes taking a moment out of the craziness that is London is all you need to reset yourself. I love this spot because it gives me the opportunity to do just that; I gain clarity and peace in one of my favourite cities.

I've been away for a while now, but I'm glad I have such a beautiful city to return to. It's nice to be home.

Do you have a favourite spot you love to get away to?
